TLC 4/25/19: In attendance- Katie, Brian, Derek, Moira, Greg, Jeff, Dan

  • Discussion of goal to get to 9/10 or greater on team culture by end of year

    • Need to define what our team culture is in writing

      • Potential vision retreat to determine what is important to individuals, and, therefore, the team

      • Need to ensure that team goals are reflective of all team members’ goals/values (don’t forget the admin staff)

      • Values are the things we would let someone go for not complying with…the BIG goals

      • Start meetings with icebreakers…go around the room

    • Spending time one on one with each other in addition to team socials

    • Already in the works:

      • 2 or 3 times per month beer and pizza at the office (once we move into the new space)

      • Larger quarterly events for the whole team

        • Focusing on being more interactive (bowling, yard games, forced fun, etc.)

      • CONCLUSION: This needs to be determined as a Team by spending time together

        • Vision Summit: June 12 (probably 10:00-6:00)

        • TLC members will talk to their constituents within 1 week to let them know that the Vision Summit is going to be the critical opportunity to form our team’s culture, mission, and vision and to get to know each other better. We will formulate an actionable plan to implement and maintain the culture that our team determines is important to us. We will also gain a better understanding of each person’s individual goals/vision so that we can ensure our team goals are in alignment with the goals of each individual. Vision Summit will occur June 12.

  • Sales Team Meetings

    • Encourage participation in MC classes

    • Can host a training AFTER the meeting that is optional (unless required specifically by Dan or Jeff to attend)

      • Can open up to MC if relevant and non-proprietary

    • If more collaborative meetings, more frequent but less time

      • Question for the sales team: with more of a focus on collaboration instead of training, would you prefer going back to one hour per week instead of skipping one of our weekly meetings and doing a 2-hour meeting instead?

  • Team question: Are we going to be a team who recognizes financial benchmarks of agents as they occur and are proud of each other instead of being stressed or upset by seeing others outperform us in that area? To be discussed at Vision Retreat

  • Also to be discussed at Vision Retreat: How to provide timely (immediate) feedback as issues occur and recognize that business relationships/interactions are different than personal.
